My Dad grew up near Brrrmidgi and has a lot of fond memories of fishing openers there.
For me, the family traditions revolve around elk hunting in the wild, rugged, and appropriately named, Hell's Canyon. My family has hunted elk there for over 35 years - it's a twelve mile pack in where we set up camp and do it right. The place is really just beyond words to describe. The companionship is just that much more special there - it's impossible not to feel camaraderie with each other when you're that far out in the wilderness. Thanks for sparking the memories!
